The ART ADVENT is back! After a year's break, visitors can once again enjoy the high-quality range of arts and crafts and culinary delights. In compliance with strict hygienic regulations and a specially developed COVID safety concept, the ART ADVENT celebrates 5 years of bio! It is still the only Advent market in the whole of Austria whose catering is fully certified organic! Let's look forward to great arts and crafts, spectacular street theatre and the shopping experience for the weary on foot: the mobile divan.
Knowing where it comes from
When it comes to food, we Austrians have come to attach great importance to regional origin and high quality. We should apply similar standards to other products. It creates trust if you know who made the products you surround yourself with - maybe even in the same neighbourhood. Our natural soaps, for example, come from Vienna and Hennersdorf. In the immediate vicinity, in Wiener Neustadt, unique textile products are made. The unique glass pictures are made in Bad Ischl, while the glass beads come from Gablitz. Most of the time, the artisans themselves are at their stand. This way you can get to know the people behind the handicraft products.
Look into the workshop
If you want to know how a linoleum print is created or how silver jewellery is made, you can be there live in the show workshop. There, the artisans take turns demonstrating their working techniques. The results - among others - can be admired on an enlarged art island: Exhibits made of wood, metal, clay, painting and glass are on display there.

Organic - for 5 (+1) years without compromise
divina art has always attached importance to sustainability, regionality and quality. 5 (+1) years ago we started the process with bio-austria to convert the entire catering trade to organic. This was not always easy - some things we had to search for a long time, such as organic chestnuts - but we and our restaurateurs have done it! For 5 (+1) years now, ART ADVENT has been the only Advent market in Austria with fully certified organic catering!

Celebrating in Corona times
This year we will only be able to offer a limited supporting programme. What there will certainly be - in compliance with COVID prevention measures, of course - is the trolley express and the lost and found carousel. Both trolleys have to be driven by muscle power. For hygiene reasons, we will have to do without the straw landscape this year.

However, we do not have to do without the spectacular walking acts of Soluna Rising and MovingActs and the drummers of Vento Sul, who will heat things up on 21 December.

Musically, we will have to rely on the nostalgic sounds of the Werkelmann this year, as there will be no concerts.
